A Note From Kelly...
Hormones are such a "buzz word" these days..but if you are anything like where I once was, I used to BLAME hormones for ALL THE THINGS going WRONG with me.
At the time, I didn't understand their role, their importance, and more importantly understanding how I was OPERATING IN MY LIFE affected them positively or negatively.
It wasn't until I dove into functional wellness and nutrition 5 years ago, and now I have a much better understanding. This is why I created this challenge.
When you think of hormones, keep in mind they are chemical messengers.
The metaphor I like to use is...
think of hormones like the internet...more specifically, email.
Your body's internal terrain is a "bio-chemical super-highway."
The messaging that happens within your body is at the cellular level.
Hormones are chemicals moving from cell to cell looking for receptors.
Think of receptors as docking stations that are located throughout your body.
These docking stations are set in place to "read the email", so to speak.
That said, it is the hormone receptors that help us balance the hormones and how they affect us.
The cells must have the APPROPRIATE receptors to "read" the email (or receive the hormone's information.)
Otherwise, it is like reading an email composed in another language.
The language must be understood because they fit together like a lock and key.
So....in a big perspective view, the body needs to make hormones, use them, and then rid of them.
Fascinating when you look at it that way isn't it? This is why I created this challenge so you can be informed about your very own "internal bio-chemical
super-highway."
I can't wait to share everything I know with you! See you there!

During this challenge you will learn:
-
The importance of gut health and the gut brain connection when it comes to hormonal balance.
-
How to recognize SYMPTOMS related to hormone imbalances that often get brushed off as "normal" or "just a part of getting old."
-
To recognize and understand how the body "perceives" stress physically, mentally, and chemically. Stress comes in many surprising ways & can keep unwanted fat hanging around.
-
The "POWER" of food. Learn the best foods for hormonal balance. This is especially important for those who are menopausal, have PCOS, thyroid, blood sugar and cholesterol issues.
